What the Aurum Foundation does
The Foundation invests in long term equity and systems change across gender, disability, neurodivergence, culture, sexuality and youth. It exists for initiatives that are essential to national wellbeing, intersectional inclusion and public leadership but fall outside commercial frameworks. It is registered with the ACNC and funded through partnerships.
How the Foundation works
- Cultural interventions. Projects that support social cohesion, reduce stigma and build visibility for underrepresented communities, so the public is better informed and more people take part.
- Strategic coalition building. Work with communities, advocates, researchers and institutions that turns lived insight into tools and campaigns reflecting the realities of the people most affected.
- Accessible knowledge infrastructure. Toolkits, publications and events that make complex systems understandable and usable, and give people fairer access to information.
- Investing in emerging ideas. Support for projects, prototypes and conversations that are not yet ready for market but could deliver public impact, making room for intersectional perspectives and leadership outside the mainstream.
The Think platform
Think is the Foundation’s public platform for lived experience leadership, civic dialogue and systems change. Just Gold owns Think and licenses it to the Foundation, which operates the Think civic platforms. Just Gold and the Foundation can each use Think separately or run it together. Think combines event design, strategic communications and co designed public engagement, and is grounded in Just Gold’s Praxis Framework.
Think activations include Think Autism, Think Voice, Think Pride, Think Culture, Think Greek, Think Women (which grew out of The Invisible Woman, a concluded two year strategic partnership with the City of Melbourne), and Think 3000, a youth leadership and employment initiative co produced with RMIT University. The Think page covers each platform.
Aurum Learn, coming in 2027
Aurum Learn is the Foundation’s digital learning platform, opening in 2027. It will provide evidence based, accessible eLearning for organisations and individuals working in intersectional contexts, with the policy library in the same place.
How the Foundation and Just Gold work together
The Aurum Foundation and Just Gold are separate entities. Kyriakos Gold founded both, leads Just Gold as CEO and chairs the Foundation. Just Gold’s commercial work powers the Foundation’s platforms, the Foundation licenses Think from Just Gold, and The Praxis Framework was developed in partnership with the Foundation.
