Governance and advisory boards

Three advisory boards give Just Gold independent advice on its strategy and on the communities its work serves.

In short

About 2 minutes to read
  • Just Gold has three advisory boards: the Just Gold Advisory Board, the LGBTIQA+ Advisory Board and the Autistic Advisory Board.
  • Each board meets quarterly, offers volunteer and paid positions, and advises only; members are not directors.
  • Expressions of interest for all three close on 6 December 2026.

Just Gold Advisory Board

As Just Gold enters its next stage of growth, we are strengthening our governance and beginning the transition towards a formal board by the end of FY2028. The Advisory Board is the first step.

The board will have three to five members and meets quarterly. Members advise on Just Gold’s national growth, our expansion into Queensland and the transition to a formal board. Appointments are for an initial 12 month term and may be renewed.

We are looking for capability in governance, finance and risk; government procurement, particularly in Queensland; scaling a professional services business; social enterprise, impact and investment readiness; and brand, marketing and the creative industries. We are seeking diverse leadership and lived experience across the board, rather than within a single designated seat.

Expressions of interest close on 6 December 2026. Read the position description.

Just Gold LGBTIQA+ Advisory Board

The LGBTIQA+ Advisory Board gives independent advice and constructive challenge on Just Gold’s LGBTIQA+ programs, campaigns, research and client advice, and holds that work to the standard of the community it serves. In 2027 it will co design our research report, The State of LGBTIQA+ Business in Australia. The board will have five to eight members. Expressions of interest close on 6 December 2026. Read the position description.

Just Gold Autistic Advisory Board

The Autistic Advisory Board guides Just Gold’s Autistic initiatives, including Autistic Pride Day, Think Autism and The Autistic Standard, and keeps that work led by and accountable to Autistic people. The board will have five to eight members. Expressions of interest close on 6 December 2026. Read the position description.

Volunteer and remunerated positions

All three boards offer both volunteer and remunerated positions. Each board meets quarterly for about two hours, appointments are for twelve months and renewable, and every board is advisory only: members are not directors and do not make decisions for the company.
