Just Gold Changemakers program streams revealed for 2019/20

What is a #changemaker?

The term is used (and misused) by many these days.

For us, at Just Gold it’s clear and simple: we acquire to deliver positive change and we have joined the movement of global changemakers working with the desire to change the world. We have gathered knowledge and resources and carefully designed our goldprint, The Just Gold Changemakers Program (#Changemakers): a method that is efficient and pragmatic, using the team’s big brains and collection of skills to outbalance social enterprises’ limited budgets.

What is the Just Gold Changemakers Program?

#Changemakers was launched in June 2019 with the Just Gold Pride Program by no coincidence. For us, pride is a driver for equality. An equalizer of societal disadvantages.

We understand that change needs to be created for people from all walks of life and by people from all walks of life. The Just Gold Changemakers Program 2019 to 2020 is a multiplatform, multi approach initiative that engages people in dialogue, starts conversations, promotes diversity and inclusion, and enables individuals and teams to take action. We have committed to over 160K worth of services for communities, social enterprises, organisations, and individuals aligned with 4 priorities for 2019/20. This is the way we measure our impact as a social enterprise and it is now up to you to apply for one of our streams or tell your networks about it.

During #Changemakers we will be working to empower and build the capacity of the LGBTIQA+ community, women (with a focus on women over 40), people who identify as neurodivergent and multicultural communities.

The Invisible Woman is a multiplatform, multi approach initiative that creates awareness on the systemic inequalities that result in women entering the zone of financial and wellbeing risk in Australia and the world. It engages in dialogue and starts conversations highlighting the challenges created by ageism and sex discrimination and offers the tools for individuals and organisations to take action. We have committed over $40,000 worth of services for projects under this program. Our Just Gold Neurodiversity Program is a multiplatform, multi approach initiative working towards a society where neurological differences (i.e. Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, ADHD, Autism, Tourette Syndrome, etc) are recognised and respected as any other human variation. We have committed over $40,000 worth of services for projects under this program. The Just Gold Multicultural Program is a multiplatform, multi approach program working to create shared value that adds to the social capital. It is a program focused on arts, community, culture, multiculturalism, and social cohesion. We have committed over $40,000 worth of services for projects under this program. Our Just Gold Pride Program is a multiplatform, multi approach initiative to engage in dialogue, start conversations, promote diversity and inclusion, and take action. We have committed over $40,000 worth of services for projects under this program.

That’s what we do. Small budgets. Big ideas.

Our program is inspired by and its terms and conditions are based on the Victorian Government’s “Boost Your Business” program. Grants can be used in the form of vouchers to boost your work and build your capacity. Vouchers give you access to our agency’s resources (and providers who register with us) with the option to choose leadership, impact, branding, strategy, and communication services through three different streams: consulting, workshops, and podcasting. One day per week our agency commits our resources for the delivery of our programs.

That’s all it takes.

Our social enterprise and our partners cover running costs, and the service recipients receive the services at no cost to them. All workshop costs (venue booking fees, workshop materials, workbooks, reports) and productions costs (eg podcast production) are also included.

Our #findyourhashtag voucher: this is your ticket to our innovative workshop(s) that will help you build your personal narrative and use it to develop a dynamic long term presence in the digital world. They are an integral part of the #Changemakers Program helping people, teams and organisations become more effective in their attempts to create social change. In our workshop, participants will map down their vision and their mission, fine tune their messages, find their hashtag, understand what an impact strategy is and learn how to work with S.M.A.R.T. goals. Valued at $3000.
Bespoke consultation services: successful recipients will be awarded vouchers that can be used for bespoke consultation services depending on their needs. The services range from strategy, branding & marketing, digital transformation, social impact consulting, audience development & community management. Valued at $6000.
Podcast production focusing on the issues of each stream. If eligible, our team will workshop with you storytelling techniques and produce your story to include it in our podcast. Our team will also release your segment as an independent podcast that you can use for your marketing and public relations activities or funding applications. Valued at $1000.

Can others participate?

This is a Program that social enterprises, businesses or organisations in Australia are welcome to join as service providers.

We are open to collaborations and welcome teams that are willing to add their tools, skills and knowledge in any of our streams.

It is a great way to join forces to deliver systemic change and a great way for other social enterprises to amplify and track their impact in a measurable way.
