From the Supplier Development Program to Mirvac supplier

Just Gold took part in the second cohort of the Supplier Development Program, run by Mirvac in partnership with Social Traders. We came out of it as a Mirvac supplier.

What the program does

The Supplier Development Program builds the capability and capacity of certified social enterprises so they can deliver major commercial contracts. Each social enterprise is paired with a Mirvac mentor, and the two work side by side on business capability, access to new opportunities and scaling the enterprise’s impact. Mirvac describes the aim as helping social enterprises become “revenue ready” to supply materials and services to large businesses.

The first program worked with four social enterprises. The second cohort, announced in April 2025, expanded to six: Renew Initiatives Australia, Give Industries, Superyard, Auschin Group, Project Net Zero and Just Gold.

Mirvac’s Group General Manager, Sustainability, Sarah Clarke, put the buyer’s side of it plainly: “Using suppliers who make a positive social impact allows us to use our purchasing power for good.”

Our mentoring

Kyriakos Gold, our Founder and CEO, was mentored by Joanne Tran, Brand Manager at Mirvac.

From participant to supplier

Just Gold is now a Mirvac supplier. We produce video and media coverage for Mirvac’s social procurement and showcase events.

Why it matters

Social Traders has certified Just Gold since January 2019. “Certification moved the conversation from ‘are you really a social enterprise?’ to ‘what can you deliver?’,” Kyriakos said. “It also gave us a route into buyers, supplier development and a sector we could not have built alone.”

The Supplier Development Program is that route in practice. A major buyer gives its own people’s time to a social enterprise until it is ready to supply, and then buys from it. Every contract that follows creates paid work for the people Just Gold employs.
