Six Years of Just Gold: Unboxing Purpose, Unlocking Change

Unboxing Impact: From Productions to Purpose

Six years ago, in 2018, we founded Just Gold as a social enterprise with a clear purpose: to show that business can deliver both commercial success, meaningful, structured and measurable social impact. But the story started much earlier. In 2008, I launched Just Gold Productions, a sole trader business built on creative storytelling and bold ideas. Over a decade, this work grew in scope and ambition, leading to the transformation into something bigger: a social enterprise committed to creativity, strategy, and purpose to drive lasting change.

Our Journey: From Creativity to Impact

Today, Just Gold is proud to be an Autistic owned and led enterprise, shaped by lived experience and a deep commitment to inclusion. This identity is no accident: it reflects both my personal journey and our enterprise’s evolution. Just as I came to understand my own Autism through diagnosis and self discovery, our enterprise has grown into its unique strengths, embracing the innovative thinking inherent in Autistic cognition.

This perspective informs everything we do, from problem solving to innovation. By focusing on patterns, systems, and forward thinking solutions, we’ve unlocked new approaches to disrupt traditional models in the social sector, delivering practical, ethical, and impactful outcomes.

Six Years of Transformative Impact

As we celebrate this milestone, I want to reflect on key achievements that define our journey:

  • Delivering Over $200,000 in Annual Impact: Supporting social enterprises through affordable, high value services while driving programs, campaigns, and initiatives.

  • The Invisible Woman Project: Partnering with the City of Melbourne to address gender and age equity through a landmark campaign (2021).

  • Recognised Excellence: Honoured at the Telstra Best of Business Awards (2022, 2023) and the Melbourne Awards (2023).

  • Autistic Pride Day Symposium: Two years of impactful Symposia and resources centring neurodivergent voices leading to a partnership with the City of Sydney for our 2025 Conference (2023, 2024).

  • University Partnerships: Collaborating with RMIT and the University of Adelaide to nurture future changemakers through internships (2022 to 2024).

  • From Workshops to Webcasts to Conferences: Growing initiatives like Think Pride, Think Voice, and Think Culture into platforms like Think Neurodiversity and Think 3000, driving conversations that matter (2021 to 2024).

Unboxing The Aurum Foundation

This year, we launched The Aurum Foundation, a not for profit arm dedicated to expanding our impact. Aurum reflects our commitment to intersectionality and systems change, unboxing new possibilities for empowering individuals and organisations.

Through Aurum, we aim to:

  • Lead initiatives addressing overlapping systems of inequity.

  • Deliver transformative eLearning solutions to inspire change.

  • Scale advocacy through initiatives like Think Talks, ensuring accessible thought leadership and resources nationwide.

Just Gold will continue funding and supporting Aurum to ensure these programs are delivered with the same integrity and focus that drive everything we do.

Looking Ahead to 2025: Bold Goals

Next year, we’re embarking on exciting new projects:

  • Expanding Autistic Pride Day to Think Neurodiversity: With $40,000 in support from the City of Sydney, we’re scaling Autistic Pride Day amplifying voices and delivering free resources for inclusion.

  • Delivering Think 3000: In partnership with RMIT, this $150,000 conference will feature 40+ speakers tackling innovation, sustainability, and design. Accessible to students at just $20, it will provide ongoing tools for communities and organisations.

  • Myriad Kofkin Global Partnership: Collaborating on national impact advisory projects that address systemic challenges with innovative solutions.

  • Supporting Social Enterprises: Continuing to offer high value services at a fraction of the cost, empowering organisations to access critical tools and expertise.

  • A Reimagined Impact Program: Launching a new, reimagined impact program with defined direct and indirect activities. This program will focus on driving systems change while empowering Autistic people, creating dual pathways for meaningful and measurable impact.

Certifications: Unlocking Accountability and Progress

Certifications ensure we remain accountable to our mission and our clients, delivering measurable impact:

These certifications are more than benchmarks: they are tools guiding us to achieve greater potential every day.

Thank You for Six Years of Unboxing Impact Together

At Just Gold, we believe in embracing difference and unlocking the extraordinary.

As an Autistic led enterprise, we don’t just think outside the box: we reimagine the box entirely. We see patterns where others see noise, and we design systems that go beyond surface level solutions to create lasting impact.

Over the past six years, we’ve built a business that demonstrates how purpose and innovation can drive meaningful outcomes. Together with you, our partners, clients, and team members, we’ve challenged conventions, delivered results, and created solutions that make a difference.

Looking ahead, we’re focused on what’s next: bold projects, smarter systems, and collaborations that continue to deliver impact. Thank you for being part of this journey.

Here’s to the next chapter of unboxing possibilities.
