Think Greek to proceed in November 2021

Concluded

Our collaborative, multicultural events are going ahead this November!

As Victoria is coming out of the latest lockdown, we are incredibly excited to announce the dates for Think Greek: Multicultural lessons from the Greek Revolution of 1821.

Think Greek is a series of events and digital broadcasts in collaboration with the Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce, produced with the support of the Victorian Government.

Think Greek is a series of conversations, each of the four sessions (Politics, Society, Arts, Women) will focus on connection, cultural exchange, collaboration and innovation.

Experts, speakers, and guests will be part of a forum that explores Greece’s process from part of the Ottoman Empire to becoming a Modern State aligned with the emerging European vision of harmony and multiculturalism.

We will be exploring the Greek revolution as part of the European Enlightenment. What helped the making of Modern Greece? How important was being innovative to disconnect from the Ottoman Empire and connect with multicultural Europe? The role of typography, translation, literature; the first notions of activism, collaboration and citizenship; the learnings we can use to live in harmony in an ever evolving multicultural world.

The events will take place 8 to 11 November, however due to COVID 19 restrictions we will be recording with a closed set.

The events will be streamed online on 15 to 18 November.
