What is the ‘Disruptive Rainbow’ podcast?

Focusing on issues of sexuality and cultural identity in Australia, ‘The Disruptive Rainbow’ is our LGBTIQA+ podcast stream, an integral part of the Just Gold Pride Program.

We are creating a platform for social enterprises, not for profits and businesses associated with the LGBTIQA+ community to communicate their work and share their message; and this platform can be available to you as part of our grants, at no cost.

Why podcasts

Podcasting is one of Australia’s fastest growing digital tools and this is our comfort zone: at Just Gold, we are specialists with 20+ years of studio experience. Podcasting has shown to be a very effective impact medium, with 63% of listeners having taken some type of action based on what they listen to.

‘The Disruptive Rainbow’ will launch in September and will feature prominent LGBTIQA+ Australians of ethnic background.

YOU can be a part of it.

But how exactly does that benefit you or your organisation?

If you are a part of or impacting the Australian LGBTIQA+ community and have a story to tell, or a project to showcase you can apply for one of our 12 podcast grants / vouchers.If eligible, our team will workshop with you and produce your story to include it in our podcast.

Our team will also release your segment as an independent podcast that you can use for your marketing and public relations activities or funding applications.

Our podcast vouchers are valued at $1,000 each and cover 100% of workshop and production costs. We will be awarding twelve vouchers in total and will be producing stories monthly.

• Applications open on the 1st of July 2019.

• Full terms and conditions of our #changemakers and Pride Program will be released on our social media and website 28 June 2019 to coincide with the 50 year celebrations from the Stonewall riots.

• Winning podcast projects will be announced on our social media and website 30 August 2019.

The #JustGoldPrideProgram

The #JustGoldPrideProgram is part of our annual #Changemakers Program and includes grants and services in the form of vouchers for the Australian LGBTIQA+ community.

Our $40,000 worth #JustGoldPrideProgram is a multiplatform, multi approach initiative to engage in dialogue, to start conversations, to promote diversity and inclusion, to take action.
