Overview
The Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (DJPR) engaged Just Gold to design and deliver a video series showing the real world impact of Victoria’s Social Procurement Framework.
Challenge
Despite policy momentum, social procurement remained abstract for many suppliers and buyers. DJPR needed content that made its value visible and relatable, and that put communities at the centre.
Approach
Delivered using The Ethos Method, Just Gold:
- Co designed the stories directly with the social enterprises and individuals featured
- Filmed across three Victorian locations with a multilingual team, using drone footage and journalist led, multi stakeholder interviews
- Embedded accessibility and equity into every layer of production, including sourcing music from underrepresented artists and subtitling in six languages
Deliverables
- Multi location video series
- Subtitled content in six community languages
- Talent coordination and approvals
- Strategy and scripting aligned to policy goals
Outcome
The series premiered at government events and has been shared across procurement networks. It is now used across multiple state departments as an advocacy tool for inclusive procurement, and it has lifted the visibility of diverse suppliers and communities across Victoria.
