Overview
The Settlement Council of Australia is the national peak body for the settlement sector. In November 2025 it held two connected events at the Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort: the Settlement and Talent Symposium: Driving Productivity, followed by the National Settlement Conference, We Share a Dream. Just Gold co produced both, delivering brand, strategic communications, social media, film, photography and live coverage across the full event cycle.
Challenge
The two events had different jobs. The symposium had to make the economic case for settlement to employers, chambers of commerce and policymakers, audiences who rarely attend a settlement sector event. The conference had to bring the sector itself together around practice, capability and community voice. Both ran back to back under one organisation and needed to read as connected without blurring their audiences. With more than 400 participants, 121 speakers and over 30 sessions, content also had to be captured and published while the events were happening.
Approach
[Placeholder: approach framework, The Ethos Method or The Praxis Framework]
Just Gold set the strategic architecture first. The symposium was positioned as the economic argument, presenting settlement as workforce infrastructure and aligning it to the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s productivity framework. The conference was positioned as the sector’s answer: how to build a settlement system capable of delivering that outcome. Each event received its own brand, audience and messaging, with a clear line connecting them.
The conference identity was built on artwork SCOA commissioned from First Nations artist Amy-Lee Allerton of Indigico Creative and extended into a full visual system for print, digital and stage screens.
In the lead up, Just Gold ran the event campaign: event pages, program releases and keynote announcements. Registrations were tracked against the 2023 conference to guide the final promotional push.
On site, the team filmed and photographed all three days, edited the same day and published to social as sessions finished. Opening and closing videos framed the program. Kyriakos Gold facilitated the session We Share a Dream: Reimagining Settlement in the Age of AI.
After the event, Just Gold delivered the post event EDM, feedback survey and gallery communications.

Outcome
SCOA presented two national events under a coherent identity, each speaking to its own audience. The symposium put the productivity argument in front of business and government, and the conference gave the sector its own forum. The coverage outlasted the event: in 2026, Just Gold drew on the conference footage to produce the launch video for SCOA’s Reconciliation Action Plan.
