Everything Just Gold publishes must be accurate and respectful. We get consent before sharing anyone's lived experience, and we avoid stories built on fear or pity. Content about First Nations, LGBTIQA+, disability or cultural communities is reviewed by someone with lived experience or knowledge. Factual errors are corrected within 48 hours of being confirmed.

Policy statement

Our content shapes public understanding. Whether we’re producing reports, media, campaigns or internal training tools, Just Gold applies high ethical standards to ensure accuracy, dignity, and representation.

Editorial commitments

  • Ensure consent, especially when publishing lived experience.
  • Respect cultural protocols and attribution.
  • Avoid narratives based on fear, pity or trauma voyeurism.
  • Use strengths based, inclusive, and accessible language.
  • Disclose funding sources or partnerships that may influence content.

Content review

  • All external content is reviewed by at least one manager and one content specialist.
  • First Nations, LGBTIQA+, disability or cultural content must be reviewed by someone with relevant lived experience or knowledge.

Corrections and retractions

  • Factual errors will be corrected transparently within 48 hours of confirmation.
  • Harmful or inaccurate content may be taken down immediately pending review.

Application

Applies to all written, visual, or multimedia content produced by or for Just Gold, including social campaigns, client deliverables, and digital platforms.
